Veovo, the airport brand of the listed Gentrack Group, makes airport operations software, including AI that forecasts passenger arrivals flight by flight and directs queues.
Launched in 2018 from Airport 20/20, BlipTrack and Concessionaire Analyzer+, it sells passenger forecasting, flow management using lidar, 3D cameras and WiFi, queue management and an airport operations platform. Keflavik (KEF) was first to adopt its live forecasting in 2020.
London Gatwick (LGW) runs its passenger predictability AI at security in both terminals and has contracted an integrated airport control system with AI use cases. Melbourne (MEL) and Edinburgh (EDI) use its airport platform, and Manchester Airports Group its flow management.

Veovo passenger flow management rollout across MAG airports
Manchester Airports Group is rolling out Veovo's Passenger Flow Management system at Manchester, London Stansted and East Midlands, Veovo said on 16 April 2024. The system combines LiDAR, 3D stereo cameras and the airports' Wi-Fi infrastructure to follow passengers through the terminal and show queue times at key process points.
Nick Woods, MAG's chief information officer, said in the announcement that understanding how people travel from kerb to gate would let the group make data-driven decisions. Veovo describes the output as predictive insights for daily operations and longer-term planning, without calling the system AI.
The 2024 announcement uses present and future tense, and no completion has been announced for any of the three airports. Which terminals and processes are covered today, and with what effect on queue times, has not been published.
Sydney Airport has modernised its operations with Veovo software that brings its data together in a central airport operational database, Veovo said on 27 November 2023.
Montréal-Trudeau has gone live with Veovo's flight information display system and airport operations platform, Passenger Terminal Today reported on 14 September 2026, with displays able to show targeted content in several languages. Veovo says the platform gives the airport a single trusted flight record. Future Travel Experience reported the same go-live.
Gatwick and Veovo announced in April 2025 that they were building an Integrated Airport Control system, with Veovo's technology partner Amorph Systems, as the basis for a predictive Airport Operations Plan. Its Virtual Control Room brings flight data, passenger flow, transport connections, KPIs and alerts into one view, according to Veovo.
Veovo says the platform uses AI and machine-learning prediction to forecast the effect of changes to weather, flight schedules, baggage handling, rail services and passenger show-up profiles, and to trigger alerts and recommended actions. Airports AI Alliance listed the initial capabilities as disruption forecasting, queue and processing analytics, and AI-driven recommendations based on historical and live data.
The first phase has been reported in use since 2025, and Veovo said in February 2026 that the system was helping Gatwick manage disruption proactively. Those reports come from trade coverage and Veovo's own channels; Gatwick has not published operating results.
Veovo describes the programme as "scaling from an initial use case to over 35". That is the plan for the full system, and neither company has said how many use cases are running today.
Edinburgh Airport chose Veovo's airport platform in June 2023, taking its Airport Operational Database, Resource Management System and Revenue Management modules to replace a legacy system, Veovo said on 27 June 2023. Veovo says the web-based platform replaces static operational plans with live situational awareness and predictive insight.
In February 2025 Edinburgh expanded its use of Veovo's passenger-flow tools to cover the journey from curb to flight, a Veovo release of 27 February 2025 shows.
In November 2021 Veovo said Gatwick had selected its AI-powered Passenger Predictability software for security in the North and South terminals. Travel Weekly reported on 2 November 2021 that Gatwick was to deploy it.
In April 2025 Gatwick and Veovo announced a separate partnership on an Integrated Airport Control system, Airport Industry News reported.
Schiphol uses Veovo's Passenger Predictability technology for real-time queue and movement information, Veovo said in a case study of 22 August 2019. Hybrid 3D and Bluetooth sensors measure queues, and predicted waiting times are shown on screens at passenger processing points.
International Airport Review reported on 13 March 2023 that Schiphol was among the airports moved onto Veovo's cloud platform.
Veovo said in a May 2019 case study that Genève Aéroport had cut the average wait at security by 51%, from seven minutes to 3.5, using its queue-measurement system.
A machine learning-powered forecasting solution that generates accurate by-flight predictions of passenger and baggage volumes across all airport touchpoints.
The problem it addresses
Airports struggle to accurately plan staffing and resources for dynamic, flight-by-flight passenger demand variability. Static or manual forecasting leads to queues, crowding, overstaffing costs, and missed connections. This product enables proactive, data-driven capacity planning and real-time operational adjustments to prevent bottlenecks.
Key features
By-flight passenger show-up profile generation
Baggage volume forecasting for arrivals and departures
Transfer passenger flow projection by flight
Off-block time prediction using machine learning
7 more features
Continuous live re-forecasting with real-time data ingestion
Threshold-based alerts for predicted deviations from plan
Recommended resourcing actions (lane openings, belt reallocation, call-to-gate timing)
Forecast accuracy calculation and deviation root-cause analysis
Configurable visual dashboard for airport partners (security, border control, retail)
Occupancy forecasting for open terminal areas
No specialised skills required for operation
Technical specifications (5)
Machine learning models with baked-in aviation domain knowledge
Data ingestion from: sensor technologies (LiDAR, 3D cameras, WiFi/BLE), AODB, airline schedules, booking files, boarding pass scans, event calendar, queue wait times and lane productivity data
Updated capacity plan and passenger forecast every few minutes
Available as fully managed cloud service or single-tenant on-premise deployment
GDPR-compliant data anonymisation via truncation, encryption, and randomisation

An AI and sensor-based platform solution that monitors and manages queues across airport processing points including check-in, security, border control, and divest areas. Uses a hybrid analytics approach accepting data from any combination of sensor types (LiDAR, 3D cameras, WiFi/BLE, existing infrastructure).
The problem it addresses
Airport queues at security, check-in, and border control create passenger stress, missed flights, and operational inefficiency. Manual queue monitoring is reactive and inaccurate. This product provides accurate, automated real-time monitoring and predictive insight so operators can staff proactively, balance lanes dynamically, and communicate wait times to passengers.
Key features
Real-time queue wait time measurement and prediction
Automatic detection of queue formation and handling of changing maze configurations
Queue Balancer: monitors each sub-queue and automatically guides passengers to shortest lane
Passenger type prioritisation (transfers, premium, economy) via Queue Balancer

A passenger flow analytics solution that anonymously tracks how passengers move through the entire airport terminal from curb to gate, on a by-flight basis. Uses existing WiFi infrastructure combined with LiDAR and 3D cameras to collect device traces linked to AODB and boarding pass data.
The problem it addresses
Airports lack visibility into how individual passengers move through the terminal in relation to specific flights, making it impossible to correlate passenger behaviour with operational data or predict downstream process impact. Flow Management provides this by-flight, curb-to-gate view to enable proactive operations management and long-term infrastructure planning.
Key features
By-flight passenger movement and dwell time tracking across entire terminal
Curb-to-gate journey analysis
Real-time occupancy and flow monitoring at processing points, retail, lounges, and gates
