IntellAct, a Jerusalem start-up, uses deep learning on existing CCTV to detect turnaround tasks and ground equipment in real time.
Founded in 2017 with a team of two and backed by Cockpit Innovation, EL AL's venture arm, and OurCrowd, it used EL AL's premises at Tel Aviv as a beta site. In December 2024 Indra integrated its detection into Indra's Airport Operations Platform for testing under SESAR. No activity since then was found, and no commercial deployment is named.

01 / Pilot
IntellAct AI turnaround video analytics pilot at Ben Gurion
El Al, an investor in IntellAct, ran a successful pilot of the startup's AI video-analytics system for turnaround monitoring at Ben Gurion Airport, IntellAct's founder told the Times of Israel in March 2025.
An AI middleware platform that uses computer vision and GIS analytics applied to existing airport CCTV camera infrastructure to monitor aircraft turnaround activities in real time.
The problem it addresses
Airlines, airports, and ground-handling teams lack real-time visibility into the turnaround process, relying on manual reporting that misses bottlenecks and safety deviations. Flight delays caused by turnaround inefficiencies cost airlines over $68 billion annually. The product automates detection and reporting of each turnaround task, enabling data-driven responses to delays before they escalate.
Key features
Real-time AI video analytics of all turnaround tasks Above and Below the Wing using existing CCTV infrastructure
GIS-based detection of exact start and completion timestamps for each turnaround service
Automated real-time alerts to stakeholders when service delay or safety violation is detected
Actionable mitigation plans delivered to existing stakeholder user interfaces
6 more features
Integration with A-CDM and Total Airport Management systems (standalone mode also available)
Predictive Target Off-Block Time (TOBT) accuracy improvement using historical and real-time data
Detailed post-operation service reports covering cargo loading, passenger counts, boarding rate, and other turnaround metrics
SLA compliance verification and automated billing support for ground handlers
GPU-optimized algorithms to minimize infrastructure overhead
Support for monitoring over 200 turnaround event types per documented MIA deployment

Profile data from the Aerostack companies register; deployment records from the verified register. Evidence grades: T1 first-party confirmation, T2 credible reporting. See Our approach for how records are graded.
Aerostack companies register
Aerostack tracks AI deployments across airports and airlines, with the published evidence behind each record. Photography is real aviation imagery. Record thumbnails may show the named airport or airline; other photographs do not.
