Hello Lamp Post, a London company, runs conversational AI assistants that answer passengers' and staff questions at airports, under each airport's own brand. Glasgow (GLA) rolled it out airport-wide in December 2024.
Founded in 2013 with 11 to 50 staff, it says it is profitable without venture funding, with turnover up more than a third a year for two years. Its assistant handles the repetitive questions that take up staff time, more than 50,000 a year at Glasgow.
Glasgow started with passengers with reduced mobility in a trial before extending it to everyone. Its sister AGS airports, Aberdeen (ABZ) and Southampton (SOU), followed in 2025 under a multi-year contract, and Cincinnati (CVG) is also a user.
