Passenger Experience

aiOla, an Israeli company, builds speech recognition for noisy, jargon-heavy workplaces such as hangars and ramps. United Airlines Ventures invested in its 25 million US dollar round in July 2025.

Founded in 2019 with 51 to 200 staff, it has raised 58 million US dollars in total. Its Jargonic speech model, keyword spotting and voice-to-workflow app let frontline workers complete inspections and checks by speaking rather than typing. Claims on accuracy and language coverage are its own.

The United relationship is recorded as a pilot covering more than 100 use cases. The funding announcement described it as exploring use cases, while aiOla's president said United was already using the product; United has not confirmed which. Its other enterprise customers are not named.

Jargonic

Enterprise-grade automatic speech recognition (ASR) model designed for jargon-heavy, noisy, and multilingual environments. Converts spoken language into structured, actionable data in real time.

The problem it addresses

Generic ASR tools fail in industrial and aviation environments due to background noise, specialized jargon, multilingual workforces, and multiple simultaneous speakers. Jargonic addresses these gaps, enabling field teams to speak reports and have spoken data instantly structured into backend systems, eliminating manual data entry in high-stakes operational contexts.

Key features
  • Zero-shot jargon recognition, no retraining or manually curated vocabulary lists required
  • Patented AdaKWS (adaptive keyword spotting) model with 95%+ accuracy on domain-specific terms
  • Supports 120+ languages, dialects, and accents
  • Designed for noisy, multi-speaker environments (hangars, manufacturing floors, logistics)
4 more features
  • Real-time transcription and structured data output
  • Average WER of 5.91% on English academic benchmarks (best in class vs. OpenAI Whisper, ElevenLabs, AssemblyAI, Deepgram)
  • 95%+ multilingual jargon recall across German, Spanish, Portuguese, French, and English
  • Available via API through aiOla's enterprise platform
Technical specifications (7)
  • Trained on 1,000,000+ hours of transcribed speech including industrial settings
  • Average WER 5.91% on gold-standard English academic datasets
  • 94.7% recall rate for domain-specific Japanese terms (Jargonic V2)
  • Outperforms OpenAI Whisper v3, ElevenLabs, Deepgram Nova-3, and AssemblyAI on CommonVoice and ReazonSpeech benchmarks
  • API-first architecture for enterprise integration
  • Real-time masking and PII protection
  • Cloud or hybrid deployment

aiOlApp

Conversational AI application for frontline workers that captures spoken data, executes workflows, and populates forms and checklists via natural speech.

The problem it addresses

Frontline workers in aviation, manufacturing, and logistics cannot stop to type during inspections or safety checks. Manual form filling and paper-based reporting in high-noise, hands-busy environments leads to lost data, delays, and compliance gaps. aiOlApp converts natural spoken language into structured data within existing enterprise workflows without requiring workers to change how they communicate.

Key features
  • Voice-activated form and checklist completion, no typing required
  • Zero-training UX, productive from first interaction without model retraining
  • Understands jargon, accents, and process-specific terminology with 95%+ accuracy
  • Real-time data capture and structured output to backend systems
5 more features
  • Hands-free safety reporting and maintenance logging
  • Operates in 120+ languages and noisy environments
  • Speech-to-any-workflow: data entry, process execution, task completion
  • Audio intelligence customized for complex operational tasks
  • Real-time PII masking and enterprise-grade security
Technical specifications (6)
  • Mobile application deployable on existing smartphones and tablets
  • Zero-shot learning, no pre-training on customer vocabulary required
  • 120+ languages, dialects, and accents supported
  • Real-time masking and PII protection
  • Enterprise-level privacy and security compliance
  • Bidirectional sync with enterprise systems including ERP and Salesforce

Profile data from the Aerostack companies register; deployment records from the verified register. Evidence grades: T1 first-party confirmation, T2 credible reporting. See Our approach for how records are graded.

Aerostack tracks AI deployments across airports and airlines, with the published evidence behind each record. Photography is real aviation imagery. Record thumbnails may show the named airport or airline; other photographs do not.
