MTU Maintenance
MTU Maintenance, the engine repair arm of MTU Aero Engines, uses AI to flag abnormal engine behaviour after each flight and to plan when engines should come off the wing.
Founded in 1979 with 1,001 to 5,000 staff near Hannover, it runs WebETM and myETM trend monitoring and myEFM fleet management, whose removal and workscope planning its programme lead says relies on AI. CORTEX targets V2500 operators. Its core repair work is conventional.
Viva Aerobus became launch customer in October 2025 for enhanced engine health monitoring on its A320-family V2500 engines, combining MTU's analytics with Teledyne Controls' data delivery. Other monitoring customers are not named.
No verified deployments yet
MTU Maintenance is profiled in the companies register, but no deployment has been verified against published evidence. Records are added as evidence is reviewed and graded.
