HAECO
HAECO, the Hong Kong maintenance group owned by Swire Pacific, runs predictive-maintenance and robotics projects alongside its core airframe, engine and component work.
Founded in 1950 with more than 10,000 staff, it has run INSIGHT, a platform for tracking aircraft and predicting maintenance, across its MRO operations since 2019; the AI engine behind it is Revima's Flightwatching, with HAECO as integrator. With LSCM, a Hong Kong government-funded research centre, it trialled autonomous robots delivering parts in its Hong Kong facility from 2025. It is also a named user of 8tree's dent scanners. All evidence comes from its own channels.
No verified deployments yet
HAECO is profiled in the companies register, but no deployment has been verified against published evidence. Records are added as evidence is reviewed and graded.
Products & Solutions
4 productsINSIGHT Flight Tracking Platform
Real-time flight and gate operations tracking system deployed at HAECO's VHHH facility, powered by Flightwatching technology, providing the MRO operations team with live flight arrival, departure, and gate status data to coordinate maintenance planning.
MRO operations teams need real-time visibility of aircraft movements and gate events to coordinate maintenance resources and minimise turnaround delays.
- Real-time flight arrival and departure tracking
- Gate status and aircraft positioning
- MRO operations integration
- Powered by Flightwatching platform
Robotic Warehouse System
Automated robotic warehouse system operating within HAECO's stores facility at VHHH, using 13 autonomous mobile robots to retrieve, transport, and deliver aircraft parts and consumables to technicians at throughput of 170 totes per hour.
Manual warehouse picking in aviation parts stores is slow, error-prone, and dependent on experienced staff. Robotic automation increases throughput, reduces picking errors, and improves parts availability to the maintenance line.
- 13 autonomous mobile robots
- 170 totes per hour throughput
- Automated parts retrieval and delivery to maintenance line
- Integration with HAECO inventory management system
Technical specifications (2)
- 13 AMRs
- 170 totes/hour throughput
Drone-Assisted Aircraft Inspection System
Autonomous drone inspection system using Donecle Iris drones for standardised exterior aircraft inspection at HAECO's VHHH facility and US-based stations, capturing high-resolution imagery for damage assessment and reducing hangar dock time.
Manual external aircraft inspections require scaffolding or docking equipment and are time-consuming. Drone inspection reduces inspection time, eliminates dock requirements for external checks, and standardises image quality.
- Autonomous drone navigation around aircraft exterior
- High-resolution standardised image capture
- Defect detection and damage assessment
- Powered by Donecle Iris drone platform
Technical specifications (1)
- Donecle Iris drone platform
AMR Material Transport System
Autonomous mobile robot material transport system deployed in partnership with LSCM at HAECO's VHHH hangar facility, automating the movement of materials, tools, and components between stores and the maintenance line.
Manual material transport between stores and hangar maintenance positions is labour-intensive and creates workflow bottlenecks. AMR automation reduces dependency on manual handling and standardises delivery timing.
- Autonomous material transport between stores and hangar
- LSCM partnership implementation
- Integration with hangar workflow management
