Chengdu Yaota Technology makes positioning and management systems for unpowered apron equipment such as baggage carts and dollies.

Founded in 2019, it has deployed its system at Harbin Taiping (HRB), where it is proven at minus 30 degrees Celsius, and was selected for China's 2026 compilation of typical airport AI applications. The register holds little else on the company.

Aerostack holds limited verified information on Chengdu Yaota Technology. This profile covers what the register can confirm and will be extended as evidence is reviewed.

Apron equipment tracking and IoT management at Harbin Taiping

Harbin Taiping · Chengdu Yaota Technology

Harbin Taiping tracks more than ten types of non-powered apron equipment with ultra-low-power positioning terminals from Chengdu Yaota Technology, CAAC News reported on 2 April 2026. The terminals feed an IoT platform for usage-based maintenance and a two-dimensional digital twin of equipment, tasks and staff.

CAAC News called it China's first smart-apron case at an extreme-cold airport handling ten million passengers a year, and said it was chosen for a national compendium of airport AI application cases. The system rests on six invention patents.

The terminals run in batch at airports at minus 30 and 70 degrees Celsius, the paper said. The vendor reports two winters without a failure.
