CAE
CAE, the Montreal company best known for flight simulators and pilot training, also sells airline operations software that uses AI to plan crews, flights and recovery from disruption.
Founded in 1947 and listed in Toronto and New York, it has more than 10,000 staff. The operations software came from its 392.5 million US dollar purchase of Sabre AirCentre in 2022 and has been branded Flightscape since May 2025; simulators and training are not counted as AI here. CAE Rise uses simulator data to standardise pilot evaluation.
Air India Group signed in December 2023 to run CAE crew management and operations control across all its airlines. CAE also won a 300 million US dollar US Air Force C-130 aircrew training recompete in September 2026, and trains controllers for Nav Canada.
