AISmartPlan

Predictive Maintenance

AISmartPlan uses AI to build airline maintenance production plans, matching engineers to aircraft around flight schedules and workforce limits. Aer Lingus signed a multi-year agreement in May 2026.

The product is developed by Redback Software of Sydney and launched in 2023, with a team of up to ten. It combines flight schedules, aircraft availability and staff constraints into an optimised plan, replacing manual planning.

IAG announced the Aer Lingus deal after a three-month build from proof of concept to production through its IAGi accelerator, and it could extend to other IAG airlines. Aer Lingus's planning manager says work that took hours each day now takes minutes.

No verified deployments yet

AISmartPlan is profiled in the companies register, but no deployment has been verified against published evidence. Records are added as evidence is reviewed and graded.

Products & Solutions

1 product

AISmartPlan Platform

An AI-powered aircraft line maintenance planning platform that integrates with existing Maintenance and Engineering (M and E) software systems. The platform automates task scheduling, provides an AI assistant for queries and reporting, supports real-time planner collaboration, and delivers custom dashboards.

The problem it addresses

Manual maintenance planning is time-intensive and error-prone; airlines struggle to match thousands of task forecasts to available ground time and resources efficiently. AISmartPlan automates this scheduling to reduce planner workload, extend parts lifespan, and improve labor utilization.

Key features
  • SkyPilot auto-scheduling, matches task forecasts to ground time and resources automatically
  • SkyGenie AI assistant, answers queries, generates reports, and sends due-task notifications by email
  • SkyChat embedded messaging, keeps decision context linked to planners and engineers
  • Drag-and-drop Gantt schedule with color-coded aircraft and personnel availability indicators
2 more features
  • Custom dashboards per user role to consolidate planning data
  • Open integration framework compatible with aviation ERPs, operational systems, and external APIs
Technical specifications (3)
  • Integrates with any M and E software via open API
  • Cloud-based SaaS platform
  • AI-driven auto-scheduling engine
