Skydio

Smart Airports

Skydio, of San Mateo, California, is the largest US drone maker. Its aircraft use onboard computer vision to fly autonomously and avoid obstacles without GPS.

Founded in 2014 with 501 to 1,000 staff, it raised a 110 million US dollar Series F at a 4.4 billion valuation in April 2026. Its X10 and R10 drones and docks are used for inspection and security. Recent orders are military, including 52 million US dollars from the US Army. It reports more than 3,800 enterprise customers, but no civil airport deployment has been verified.

No verified deployments yet

Skydio is profiled in the companies register, but no deployment has been verified against published evidence. Records are added as evidence is reviewed and graded.

Profile data from the Aerostack companies register; deployment records from the verified register. Evidence grades: T1 first-party confirmation, T2 credible reporting. See Our approach for how records are graded.

Aerostack tracks AI deployments across airports and airlines, with the published evidence behind each record. Photography is real aviation imagery. Record thumbnails may show the named airport or airline; other photographs do not.
