Arriving international travellers at Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan go through Simplified Arrival, which uses facial comparison to automate document checks at primary inspection. CBP and the airport operator Aerostar announced it on 26 March 2021.
At the time CBP said more than 66 million travellers had used its facial comparison process across air, land and sea ports. US citizens and others not required to give biometrics can opt out.
