Veridium

Security & Screening

Veridium, a London company founded in 2014, makes biometric authentication that reads fingerprints with a phone camera, replacing passwords and dedicated scanners.

With 51 to 200 staff and a 30 million US dollar Series B, it sells the VeridiumID identity platform and 4 Fingers TouchlessID. The register names no airport customer and has not verified its description.

No verified deployments yet

Veridium is profiled in the companies register, but no deployment has been verified against published evidence. Records are added as evidence is reviewed and graded.

VeridiumID Platform (Identity Assurance Platform)

The VeridiumID Platform is Veridium's software-only enterprise authentication platform providing passwordless multi-factor authentication using AI-based behavioral biometrics. It serves as the backend for all Veridium biometric methods including 4 Fingers TouchlessID, vFace facial recognition, and native device biometrics.

The problem it addresses

Replaces passwords, tokens, PINs, and swipe cards with biometric multi-factor authentication across enterprise applications, VPN, VDI, mobile, BYOD, and legacy systems, reducing phishing risk and improving identity assurance.

Key features
  • AI-based behavioral biometrics for continuous authentication
  • Widest range of authenticators: contactless fingerprints, face (vFace), behavioral, FIDO tokens, passkeys, Windows Hello, QR code, verified push
  • No-code policy orchestration with geolocation-based risk adjustment
  • AI-driven Identity Threat Protection detecting behavioral anomalies
5 more features
  • Integrates with SSO providers, ZTNA, MDM, and EDR solutions
  • Front-end mobile SDK for iOS and Android
  • Visual cryptography for biometric data storage between device and server
  • FIDO 2.0 certified Mobile SDK
  • Supports VPN/RADIUS, VDI, thin clients, mobile, BYOD, and legacy apps
Technical specifications (4)
  • Software-only platform (no dedicated hardware required)
  • Mobile SDK for Android and iOS
  • FIDO Authenticator Certified (November 2021)
  • Biometric methods: FFID (4-Fingers), VFACE (face), TouchID (device sensor), GBFRSW (Thales DactyID20 sensor)
Certifications and approvals
  • FIDO Authenticator Certification (Mobile SDK, November 2021)
  • NIST FATE face quality algorithm evaluation participation

4 Fingers TouchlessID (4F-ID)

Veridium's 4 Fingers TouchlessID is a contactless biometric authentication solution that captures four fingerprints simultaneously using the rear camera and LED flash of a standard smartphone. No dedicated hardware scanner is required.

The problem it addresses

Eliminates the need for dedicated fingerprint hardware scanners; enables contactless, smartphone-based fingerprint capture and matching against legacy AFIS and national fingerprint databases for identity verification in the field, remote onboarding, KYC, and access control.

Key features
  • Captures four fingerprints simultaneously with smartphone rear camera and LED flash
  • Works on any Android 4.1+ or iOS 8+ smartphone with 5MP camera
  • Proprietary liveness detection against presentation attacks
  • Compatible with legacy fingerprint databases via 1-1 and 1-n matching
7 more features
  • Exports to ANSI/NIST-ITL, ISO/IEC 19794-4, WSQ, and other standard formats
  • NFIQ quality score output
  • 3-second capture time at approximately 6-inch distance
  • Microsoft Active Directory integration
  • No additional hardware required beyond user smartphone
  • Deployed via VeridiumID authentication platform
  • Supports 4 Fingers Export SDK for integration into third-party apps
Technical specifications (9)
  • Camera: 5MP with LED flash minimum
  • OS: Android 4.1+ or iOS 8+
  • Capture resolution: >500 DPI
  • Capture time: ~3 seconds
  • Capture distance: ~6 inches (+/- 1 inch tolerance in X, Y, Z)
  • Template size: ~14 kB
  • False Rejection Rate (FRR): <1.0%
  • False Acceptance Rate (FAR): 0.01%
  • False Match Rate (FMR): 0.1% or lower (95% confidence, iBeta testing)
Certifications and approvals
  • FBI certification (4F-ID)
  • iBeta tested against DEA biometric standards
  • NIST SP 500-334 interoperability - Veridium participated in NIST CRADA for contactless fingerprint standards development

Profile data from the Aerostack companies register; deployment records from the verified register. Evidence grades: T1 first-party confirmation, T2 credible reporting. See Our approach for how records are graded.

Aerostack tracks AI deployments across airports and airlines, with the published evidence behind each record. Photography is real aviation imagery. Record thumbnails may show the named airport or airline; other photographs do not.
