Universal Avionics

Air Traffic Management

Universal Avionics, a Tucson avionics maker owned by Elbit Systems, has two AI products: Aperture, a certified computer for processing video, and Smart Taxi Assist.

Founded in 1981 with 201 to 500 staff, it makes flight management systems, displays, vision systems and recorders. Aperture handles up to eight video inputs at the highest design assurance level, and Smart Taxi Assist uses speech recognition to check taxi instructions. Neither AI product has a named customer.

No verified deployments yet

Universal Avionics is profiled in the companies register, but no deployment has been verified against published evidence. Records are added as evidence is reviewed and graded.
