SCOT security observation towers trialled at Dallas Love Field in 2022

Dallas Love Field · Robotic Assistance Devices

Dallas Love Field tested two seven-foot Security Control Observation Towers, known as SCOT, in 2022, one near baggage claim and one near the security checkpoints, the Dallas Morning News reported on 8 April 2022. The paper said the towers use artificial intelligence to detect passenger behaviour, give audible warnings and can call security, and that they come from Robotic Assistance Devices.

Only one other US airport was using the technology at the time, the company's chief executive said. Love Field paid about USD 4,000 to have the towers shipped, the Dallas Morning News reported, and no later adoption decision has been reported.

Profile data from the Aerostack companies register; deployment records from the verified register. Evidence grades: T1 first-party confirmation, T2 credible reporting. See Our approach for how records are graded.

Aerostack tracks AI deployments across airports and airlines, with the published evidence behind each record. Photography is real aviation imagery. Record thumbnails may show the named airport or airline; other photographs do not.
