AXIS Flight Simulation
AXIS Flight Simulation, of Graz, Austria, builds full flight simulators qualified by EASA, the FAA and ICAO for airline and training-school pilots.
Founded in 2004 with 51 to 200 staff, it designs the whole simulator, including motion, visual and instructor systems. In 2025 it launched the AI Debriefing Station, which compares a pilot's actions in a session with training benchmarks to support objective debriefs. The register names no customers.
No verified deployments yet
AXIS Flight Simulation is profiled in the companies register, but no deployment has been verified against published evidence. Records are added as evidence is reviewed and graded.

AXIS AI Debriefing Station
An AI-driven post-session debriefing platform that monitors pilot actions during simulator runs and evaluates them against standard training benchmarks. The system automates manoeuvre recognition and scoring to support objective, consistent instructor debriefs.
Reduces instructor workload on post-simulator debriefs; replaces manual observation-based scoring with automated, objective performance data benchmarked against standard operating procedures.
- Automated real-time monitoring of pilot actions during simulator sessions
- Automatic identification and scoring of standard manoeuvres (take-off, approach, engine failure)
- Comparison of pilot performance against SOP training benchmarks
- Automated debrief report generation for instructors
Technical specifications (2)
- Software platform integrated with AXIS full flight simulator hardware
- Instructor station interface for reviewing automated session scoring
Register notes
Notes held in the Aerostack register. Aerostack has not independently verified them.
AXIS competes in the niche but capital-intensive market for Level D-qualified full flight simulators, where regulatory barriers to entry are high and customer relationships are long-term.

The Level D designation, the highest available under EASA, FAA, and ICAO frameworks, is a prerequisite for Zero Flight Time type rating training, making it commercially critical for airlines managing pilot transition costs.
The AI debriefing product extends the AXIS offering into the growing market for data-driven training quality assurance, where airlines and ATOs are under increasing pressure to standardise and document simulator training outcomes.
Level D qualification means that airlines can complete full pilot type ratings without any actual flight time, directly reducing the cost and time of fleet transitions.

The AXIS AI Debriefing Station addresses a training quality problem: without automated scoring, debrief quality varies with instructor experience and workload, creating inconsistency in pilot performance data.
