Skywise is Airbus's aviation data and predictive-analytics platform, used by airlines to pool aircraft, maintenance and operations data. Its AI line, Skywise Fleet Performance+, predicts component failures so they can be fixed before an aircraft is grounded.
Launched in 2017 and built on Palantir technology, Skywise has 501 to 1,000 staff in Toulouse. In April 2026 Airbus merged NAVBLUE and its digital trading business into the unit, bringing flight-operations tools such as the Mission+ electronic flight bag under the same name. Fleet Performance+ is extending to non-Airbus fleets from 2026.
Delta's TechOps runs its APEX predictive maintenance on Skywise, and Emirates expanded its use of Fleet Performance+ and Core X3 in July 2026. Airbus reports more than 12,300 connected aircraft and 55,000 users, and Fleet Performance+ at about 40 customers with roughly 1,500 aircraft; these are the manufacturer's own figures.

Delta TechOps predictive maintenance on Airbus Skywise
Delta TechOps uses Airbus's Skywise platform to predict component failures on its A320 and A330 fleets. Delta began co-designing Airbus's Prognostic Risk Management programme in 2015, signed a multi-year agreement in 2018 for Skywise Core and Skywise Predictive Maintenance as the first major US carrier to invest in the tool, and expanded the partnership in October 2019, according to Delta TechOps.
The system analyses operations and performance data to estimate the probability that parts will fail, and Delta bench-tests the predicted components to check the forecasts. In 2019 Delta reported a success rate above 95% for pending-failure predictions, and cited a fall in maintenance-related cancellations from more than 5,600 in 2010 to 55 in 2018, an airline-wide figure not attributed to Skywise alone.
Delta's July 2025 letter to US senators says Tech Ops planners are using an AI-enabled tool to predict maintenance needs and improve aircraft availability, which suggests the work continues, though the letter does not name Skywise. Delta has not published savings figures for the programme on its own channels.
An integrated predictive maintenance and fleet health monitoring solution built on Skywise Core that covers health monitoring, predictive maintenance, and reliability analysis in a single platform. It ingests extended in-flight aircraft sensor data and maintenance records to detect faults before the aircraft generates an alert.
The problem it addresses
Unplanned maintenance events cause flight cancellations, delays, and increased costs. S.FP+ converts reactive maintenance into predictive and scheduled maintenance by identifying potential failures before they ground aircraft, reducing operational interruptions and associated costs.

Pre-alert fault detection based on extended aircraft sensor data fused with maintenance records
Predictive failure models covering 180+ monitored components on a typical A320 (hydro-mechanical, electrical, fuel, air conditioning, pneumatic, flight control, landing gear systems)
Automated pre-departure monitoring of cabin temperatures, operations, and key aircraft systems
Natural Language Processing (NLP) to detect repetitive faults and identify associated technical documentation references
6 more features
NLP-based root cause determination to reduce investigation time and accelerate right-fix implementation
Unified glass-pane view for Line Maintenance, MCC, Engineering, and management teams
Real-time predictive diagnostics with alerts and recommended actions
Integration of ACMS data for critical aircraft monitoring
Reliability benchmarking against the worldwide Airbus fleet
Coverage of A220, A320 Family, A330, A350, A380; non-Airbus aircraft extension from 2026
Technical specifications (7)
40 customers and approximately 1,500 aircraft as of late 2024
180+ monitored components on a typical A320

Non-Airbus aircraft extension planned from 2026
Certifications and approvals
ISO 27001:2022 (inherited through Skywise Core platform - BSI Certificate No. IS 815238)
An aviation industry data platform built on Palantir Technologies infrastructure combined with Airbus OEM expertise. It ingests and unifies in-flight sensor data, engineering records, maintenance logs, and operational data from airline IT systems into an analytic environment.
The problem it addresses
Airlines operate across fragmented data systems that prevent integrated analysis of aircraft condition, operations, and maintenance. Skywise Core consolidates these streams into a single platform, enabling data-driven decision-making, faster troubleshooting, and a foundation for predictive and AI-enabled services.
Key features
Unified data ingestion from in-flight sensors, engineering systems, maintenance records, and operational data
Airbus Skywise Ontology, a standardized digital twin representing the airline operational data landscape
Code-free application builder for custom analytics and dashboards
Code-based environment for advanced data science workflows
6 more features
Artificial Intelligence and machine learning capabilities
Digital twin creation for aircraft and fleet operations
Skywise Store marketplace with 30+ certified third-party and Airbus apps
Three incremental subscription packages, flexible upgrade, downgrade, or exit at any time
Real-time data processing capable of handling up to 1 terabyte per aircraft per day (A350)
Role-based data confidentiality, airline data only visible to that airline and authorized Airbus support staff
Technical specifications (9)
12,300+ aircraft connected as of 2024

A real-time aircraft health monitoring and troubleshooting solution that evolved from the legacy Airman-web system. It provides Line Maintenance, Maintenance Control Centre (MCC), and Engineering teams with real-time management of unscheduled maintenance events.
The problem it addresses
Unscheduled maintenance events that are managed reactively lead to aircraft-on-ground (AOG) situations, delays, and increased maintenance costs. S.HM enables teams to anticipate troubleshooting, prepare interventions, and initiate work before the aircraft lands, improving dispatch reliability.
Key features
Real-time in-flight health data aggregation via ACARS link
Maintenance alert generation with email notification for configured ATA chapters
Event identification, prioritization, analysis, and tracking workflow
Direct links to relevant Airbus maintenance documentation from each event
7 more features
Customized Minimum Equipment List (MEL) integration
Workflow generation with task assignment and data-sharing functions
Access to airline Maintenance Information System (MIS) data
Long-term analysis tool for Engineering departments
Tablet-supported, fully web-based (no local Java installation required)
Supports group-level management, airlines in the same group can share a unified dashboard
Paperless maintenance strategy support via digital records access
