JAL-AI Report on Microsoft's Phi-4 small language model at Japan Airlines

Japan Airlines tested JAL-AI Report, using Microsoft's Phi-4 language model to help cabin crew prepare reports about in-flight events. The application supports offline working and Japanese-English translation. Microsoft reported that it could reduce report-writing time from an hour to around 20 minutes; the evidence does not establish an airline-wide measured saving.
