Pegasus: AI reaches the flight deck announcement and the airline's support desk
Pegasus has built multilingual captain-announcement technology and customer-service assistants, with a newer AI operational decision-support partnership. The three systems require different standards of trust.

A multilingual announcement may help passengers understand instructions, but a synthetic captain's voice also needs strong controls over approved wording. Pegasus introduced an in-house voice-cloning application through its Innovation Lab in 2024.
The airline has separately invested in Microsoft Azure AI-based customer and HR assistants. It also became a design partner and investor in Overwatch AI's Wingman operations tool in 2026. An investment and vendor-reported use do not establish how broadly the product informs day-to-day decisions.

The work behind the evidence

A captain's announcement in another language
The operational problem
Passengers need accurate, understandable information, including in situations where an announcement has safety significance.
What the evidence reports
October 2024 trade reporting describes Pegasus's in-house synthetic captain voice for Spanish, Arabic and Russian announcements.
Operational significance
The application is concrete, but should be judged on language accuracy, approval and a clear distinction between synthetic and live crew speech.
Evidence still needed
Independent translation assessment, incident safeguards and continuing flight coverage are not published.
A source can verify an announcement without verifying its projected outcome.

Other tracked activity
Other records are shown separately, including non-AI technology and programmes at different stages of deployment. A register entry does not establish a measured AI benefit.
No other publicly listed records.
Editorial assessment
Pegasus's work spans customer communication and high-consequence operational decisions. That breadth is not itself a performance score.
The next valuable reporting should concentrate on controls around generated speech and documented use of Wingman during genuine disruption.
