Mumbai: a group-wide AI agreement without a named local result
Adani Airports has agreed to develop IntelliMate agentic AI across its group. The current Mumbai record is an agreement, not proof of an agent running an airport process.

What happens after the strategic announcement?
Agentic software could help airport teams interpret information and perform defined workflow steps, but those steps need to be specified before benefits can be assessed.
In October 2025 Adani Airports announced a strategic agreement with AIONOS covering its airport network, including Mumbai. The announcement identifies a buyer and technology partner without confirming a Mumbai-specific live implementation.
A proposed international Digi Yatra identity trial is a separate programme. Neither project should be used to supply missing evidence for the other.

The operational problem
Airport decisions can rely on fragmented operational information and repeated manual handoffs.
What the sources report
Adani Airports announced its AIONOS IntelliMate agreement on 30 October 2025 as a group initiative including Mumbai.
Why it matters
A concrete local implementation could establish whether software agents help complete a real operational task.
What remains unproven
The record remains reported_unverified; no named Mumbai use case, deployment date or measured outcome is established.
Evidence supports a reported claim; it does not automatically establish a measured operating benefit.

What else is happening at Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj?
Digi Yatra's proposed late-2026 international departure pilot is a biometric identity test, not an IntelliMate operating result.
Digi Yatra international departures pilot at Mumbai · Pilot
A Digi Yatra pilot for international departures will run from October to December 2026 at five airports, including Mumbai, The Hindu reported on 24 September 2026.
Evidence supports a reported claim; it does not automatically establish a measured operating benefit.
A platform needs a task to describe
Mumbai is a named airport in a group agreement, with little public evidence of what is running locally.
The next substantial update should identify the first working process and its human controls.
