What the public record establishes

The Aerostack register associates Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) with published technology activity. Its presence in the register does not by itself establish current operational AI use, measured savings or a fleet-wide deployment.
We distinguish supplier announcements, contracted systems, trials and work reported to be live. Evidence that a technology uses AI is assessed separately from whether the airline has achieved a measurable result.

Planned AI across Azerbaijan Airlines' digital ecosystem
Azerbaijan Airlines plans to gradually introduce artificial intelligence across its digital ecosystem, its digital chief said in an interview published by DHA Press, Report.az and APA on 6 July 2026. The uses named include customer-behaviour analysis, personalised offers, recommendation engines, dynamic content, marketing and faster support.
Self-service is already in place. Nearly 25,000 passengers made their own changes or refunds in 2025, and since 2025 the airline has sent real-time notifications by email, WhatsApp and its app, according to the interview.
Panasonic Astrova and Modular Interactive on Azerbaijan Airlines' A320neo family fleet
Panasonic Avionics' Astrova and Modular Interactive entered commercial service with Azerbaijan Airlines on its Airbus A320neo family fleet, Panasonic and PAX International reported on 4 June 2026.
Eleven aircraft carry the system so far, six A321neos and five A320neos, out of 22 in total.
The linked sources allow individual claims to be inspected. A wider account of the airline's AI use would require additional attributable evidence of operational scope and results.
