seer camera-based turnaround monitoring at Frankfurt with Lufthansa and zeroG
Deployed
Fraport, Lufthansa and Lufthansa's AI subsidiary zeroG are rolling out seer, a camera-based system that records each step of aircraft handling at Frankfurt Airport and timestamps it automatically. The data goes into a central database that the partners describe as a "single source of truth" for the airline, the airport and ground handlers.
Development and piloting began in 2023, and Lufthansa and Fraport tested the system at selected parking positions from February to May 2024, Fraport said on 24 July 2025. At that point seer was in use at five positions, with 20 expected by the end of the third quarter of 2025 and a gradual rollout across the airport to follow.
Two stand counts are in circulation. Fraport put the figure at five positions in July 2025, while zeroG has since said on LinkedIn that seer covers 55, a number no airport or Lufthansa source has confirmed. The count in October 2026 is therefore not established, and no punctuality effect has been published.
