Indra and Synaptic Aviation's AI turnaround monitoring is running at Madrid-Barajas, Barcelona-El Prat and Palma de Mallorca, covering about 477 stands at airports that together handle more than 150 million passengers a year, the companies said on 19 March 2026. It tracks ground power units, chocks, refuelling and catering.
Aena had confirmed it three days earlier. Its release of 16 March 2026 said the system is already in place at the three airports and that other airports will be assessed.
