Denver International's West and East security checkpoints each have 17 automated screening lanes with CT scanners. West came first. TSA began screening departing travellers there in February 2024, and the East checkpoint followed in August 2025, according to TSA releases of 5 February 2024 and 4 August 2025.
The lane equipment came from Daifuku, which puts the project at USD 45 million and says each lane handles more than 250 trays an hour.
Both checkpoints sit within the airport's USD 2.1 billion Great Hall Program, Denver International said when the West checkpoint opened.
