Aeromexico Aerobot chatbot on Facebook Messenger, launched December 2016

GenAI assistant / chatbot · Supplier: Yalo

Current reported state

Deployed

Aeromexico launched Aerobot on 6 December 2016 and announced it as the first airline chatbot in the Americas, a claim that is the airline's own. Built with the conversational software company Yalo, the bot runs in Spanish and English on Facebook Messenger, and Aeromexico described it at launch as artificial intelligence.

At launch the airline said Aerobot could handle flight searches, schedules, fares, flight status and common questions. The launch release is the only dated source, so the record describes the service as launched in 2016 rather than confirming how it runs today.

What supports the record?

Sources are attached to individual claims. An operator statement supports a reported status; it does not, on its own, establish an independently measured benefit.
