Xining Caojiabao's Terminal 3 opened on 7 August 2025, Qinghai Daily reported, via the Qinghai government, on 8 August 2025.
Domestic passengers had their face captured once at the entry gate, then passed without ID through check-in, bag drop, security and boarding. The 158,000 m² terminal handles 21 million passengers a year.
